The GOLD course aims to support clients that are aged 50+. They should be able to obtain one employer or person of professional standing reference and have suitable levels for literacy (Entry Level 3) and numeracy (Entry Level 3).
The Gold course supports clients with identifying the benefits of being a 50+ employee, identifying transferable skills, confidence building, NHS application form support, interview techniques, job searching skills and CV writing skills. Following successful completion of the course, clients may be given an opportunity to experience a work taster placement depending on DBS and occupational health clearances.
The course is for five weeks and consists of two weeks in-house training from 9.30am to 2.30pm for four days per week and may be followed by a three week work placement for 15 hours per week. Days and times may vary depending on placement area.
