What did you find useful about the course?:
I learned valuable interview skills, such as how to answer questions with examples and the importance of speaking clearly. I had never had an interview before so I really needed the knowledge. This helped me get onto my first apprenticeship on the New Hospital Project. When that finished, after two years, I went onto another apprenticeship in Medical Engineering. I have just now begun a Band 5 role at Medical Engineering and I am also completing my foundation degree in Medical Equipment
What advice would you give to current students?:
Just persevere. On my first day I wondered if this was going to work but I learned that it is important to push yourself and never give in if you have had a bad day. Take advantage of all opportunities when they come along.
